Artur Fernandes

Artur Fernandes was born in November 1970 in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.He studied at the School of Sport, the Faculty of Geography and Faculty of Sociology, in Oporto.
As a player, began his career in his hometown club and also the service of SC Vianense was already captain of the Portugal national football team. In 1987 he moved to FC Porto, the team from Porto City. During his career he represented several prestigious clubs in Portugal such as FC Pacos de Ferreira, FC Penafiel, Desportivo das Aves and Naval.
Along the way he also wrote chronicles on a daily newspaper sports and was director of the Syndicate of Football Players.
Retired from football in 2000, began working as a sport consultant for several clubs, companies and fecerations.
Opened markets such as USA, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and developed relationships in the Middle and Far East.
In 2004 it was considered the second agent in Portugal Ranking promoted by a daily newspaper sports, with 38 operations in 45 days. More than 500 players transferred in 28 countries in just over 15 years.
Formalized its relationship with the World Champions Club in 2005, Quest ( Portugal ), Golden Foot, Soccer Club ( London ), and many other companies .
In line with some of the most valuable and respected players' agents of Portugal decided to establish in 2006 the National Association of Football Agents, Presidency that is until today.
In 2007 is invited to be one of the Members of the National Council of Sports, Government of Portugal, who agreed with much pride by engaging in this way in some of the most important sports projects in Portugal highlighting the new legal framework for sports federations.
Prefers the technical and strategies to economic constraints of their profession.
Historically, its purpose was more to scout than an entrepreneur, itself.
